A New Year begins.....

How time slips away....more quickly now than ever...one week begins and ends almost in a wink !! This year has been filled with change for me, a temporary address while we renovate our forty something home....watching our oldest son leaving his maternal home, more difficult for him than I could ever have imagined, and my youngest son hosting Christmas Eve for the first time.....good change, but still, always trepidation for those involved....we are all managing very well! I am always grateful and try to remain mindful of those less fortunate....wishing all my readers the very best of the new coming year!! N.xo

This is my 99th post, sent from my iPad, another new beginning!! N.xo

  2. Oh Nella, I am here with you, to wait for the hour to ring it in with love. You have been a super blog friend, and I wish you and your family a truly wonderful new year. You are going to love your living space as my husband and I do. We are going on two years now of having this new two-room addition to our house and just today, we stopped and looked at it and told each other how much we love it.

MUCH LOVE TO YOU NELLA ! Anita

  9. Darling Nella!!!

THANK YOU MY DEAR for your kind words today! It is so lovely to be able to "visit" each other in this way so that we can begin the day knowing we are so well supported! Oh yes my dear, so much time went into that design and now I cannot wait to see it in the window of the stationary shop in town. It will be interesting to see if this captures the interest of some other merchants in close proximity this shop, like ANTHROPOLOGIE. However, IF my designs draws interest, I have to think about how to proceed; this was an "experiment", if you will, and I found that my basement is just not a good place to make such a piece! So 2013 will yet be another trial and error year, but isn't that life?

I am anxious to see the rest of your home when it is done! KEEP ON DREAMING and working to make it all happen! LOVE! Anita

  13. Happy New Year Nella! This is such a lovely post and one I can totally relate to. My kids are 21 and 24.. slots of change but all for the good. As much as I don't like getting older I am grateful to have made it to this place in life .. and will look forward to the next chapter. I believe it's all good and we are ready for what comes next.

Such a pretty, and reflective picture at the top. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year ahead.

  15. Happy New Year Nella,
Yes, life is just one door opening or one closing.
It's like a treadmill and you make another mile every year.
    The heartaches make us stronger.
Sending you a big WARM hug.
    It is freezing in Maine.

I haven't made any plans for 2013, but Hubby is talking about building a workshop this summer, and my son and daughter-in-law's baby is due in March. :)
